Dunedin Farmers' Market has developed over the last couple of years and is a magnificent addition to the city. I took lots of photos there last year so didn’t bother so much this time. I did have an excellent bacon sandwich and a very good coffee. The market is a gourmet’s paradise, selling everything from coffee and wine to cheese; pies, bread & cakes; meat & fish; and fruit, vegetables and plants.

We then returned home & I had a lazy morning typing my diary, downloading photos and re-charging all of my electrical devices.

In the afternoon, we ventured into town again to the Thieves Alley market, which happens once a year at the start of the University Year. This is a general market of clothes, jewellery, fortune tellers, food, music and other entertainment. The immediate town centre is closed to traffic and the roads are filled with people and stalls.

I took lot of photos, most of them not very good, and tried to be artistic. We returned home, just before a few showers appeared, removed the cat from off the barbecue, and cooked tea.

Right: We cooked tea, not the cat
