Little Kingshill to Streatley

DSC_3935

After an early morning, trying to catch up with some work, we had a late and leisurely breakfast. Outside it was damp, foggy & unpleasant and there was some snow.

At about eleven, I set off onto the motorway and then down the lanes to Streatley. There was a reasonable amount of fog in evidence but not enough to make driving too difficult. I arrived at Jerry & Kathryn's and, after coffee, Jerry & I left an ailing Kathryn to her own devices while we drove to Aldworth, to sample the beer at The Bell.

Almost as bad the following morning

It was heaving, so we had a beer standing up and trying not to stand on any of the dogs which were lying on the floor in the middle of the bar. We then walked down the road to the church, which is quite large, with two naves and some spectacular internal stonework.

Once back at home, we had lunch. I did some more work and we then had dinner. The evening continued gently until bed time.
