June 19
Gilling West to Bourne End
I departed from Gilling to commence the long drive home. After a little
less than an hour, I stopped at Wetherby to visit a few shops in order
to start re-stocking my kitchen. It is a pretty town, proud of its floral
displays, and major maintenance work was in progress.
The market square provided coffee in very tasteful surroundings. The butcher
supplied black pudding and lamb chops. From the greengrocer, it was spring
greens and potatoes and there was bread from the baker.

From Wetherby, I drove down the motorways in increasingly sunny conditions
to Birstall, where I arrived at Cliff & Hilary's at lunchtime. We departed
immediately into the centre of Birstall village to the best of the local
pubs. We ate very unhealthy lunches in the garden and enjoyed the sunny
weather.
Right: Another healthy lunch

I continued on my way without any undue occurrences and arrived home safely.
Another foreign holiday completed.
