The mouth of the Porirua Harbour. There is a large bar across the harbour mouth so that it never developed as a serious commercial harbour
The Domain is named after the Ngatitoa Tribe, the traditional inhabitants of the area before the arrival of the European settlers. It now hosts a huge variety of sports, including soccer, rugby, cricket, tennis, netball, squash and softball. It is also the home of the local canine obedience club
